Once Kiseena had determined which of the huts of Hla Oad was known as
Fatleg's Drop-Off, Kiseena sat to have dinner and then continued on out
of town. Why? Because the idea of an armored adventurer stopping in town
for a simple meal was now foremost in the minds of those who lived in
the swamp-town. Few would suspect that Kiseena was waiting in the bushes
in the distance for nightfall.
When the dark of night had fallen with the added darkness of the clouds
overhead, Kiseena returned to town. With armor left in the bushes in a
memorable spot, Kiseena was able to move more quickly, and more
silently. Into Fatleg's Drop-Off this one went, and quickly was the
search for Habasi's missing artifacts. The lock on their hiding place
was simple to bypass, and curious fingers found the items that
Sugar-Lips had misplaced. The chest was re-locked so that Ra'Zhid would be none the wiser.
It was then that this one's eye was drawn to a trap door with light glowing around the edges. Kiseena sometimes has trouble fighting the urges of curiosity, and so the door was opened and the underground investigated. The caverns and tunnels were large, perhaps stretching under most of the wet town of Hla Oad. How they keep the falling rain out so easily is beyond this one's mind.
While investigating, Kiseena was much less sneaky than she should have been. She was found and brought before a severe-looking dunmer who cast dubious looks. Remarkably, this one was then mistaken for an expected courier. Rather than attempt to escape and return to Balmora with many guards and angry mer in tow, this one played along. The events that follow make Kiseena sad, and it is lucky for both her and her "delivery" that this one was able to hide her anger.
The drop-off point was a home in Balmora. The package in question was the most scared of kittens Kiseena had ever seen, a fellow khajiit by the name of Rabinna. It made Kiseena sick to her stomach, but Rabinna would not follow along without the aid of a leash and collar. Kiseena and her companion then left the town of Hla Oad, following the paths south to the bridge and then north along the Odai.
Try as she might, Kiseena is not able to convince Rabinna that she means to free her somehow. This kitten has been abused and hated so much in her life that even the words of Kiseena seem wrong and evil to her young ears. She sits there even now, watching this one untrustingly across the campfire and refusing to eat offered meats and bread and cheeses.
